Whether you have a child who is getting ready to go to Pre-Kindergarten or Kindergarten, or you have recently relocated to the Cape Girardeau area and need to enroll your school age children into the district, we hope that the resources on this page will assist you in providing a smooth transition for them. Be sure to check the other sections of the Cape Schools website for district news and information.
Parents/guardians of students who are new to the district may now register at the central office. You will find the procedures and links to forms and information below.
To enroll a student in Cape Girardeau Public Schools, you and your child must be residing within the district boundaries.
New applications for Pre-K Fall enrollment will be posted on our website and made available in our Central Administration Office in January of each year. Students are generally accepted on a first come, first served basis. Once a student has been accepted into the Pre-K program, the parents will be contacted and given information about the registration process. Registration typically takes place in the summer and parents will schedule an appointment to bring their child in for a developmental assessment, to complete registration forms and collect information. Please check back on this website for updates regarding dates and contact information.
