Notice of Public School Choice

 

In accordance with the requirements of the No Child Left Behind Act, the following is public information concerning Public School Choice and Supplemental Educational Services:

 

  • Public School Choice is available to all students in Title I Schools that do not meet the minimum requirements for AYP (Adequate Yearly Progress) for two or more consecutive years.
    • 2007-2008, 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 – All students attending Central Middle School would be eligible for Public School Choice if two or more public school attendance centers served the students in grades 5 and 6 and the other attendance center(s) made AYP.  Since only Central Middle School served students in grades 5 and 6, Public School Choice was not available.
    • 2008-2009 – During 2008-2009, all 246 students attending Jefferson Elementary School are eligible for Public School Choice.  Eligible attendance centers to which they may transfer include:  Blanchard, Clippard, Franklin or Schrader.  Based on completed applications, 33 students participated and transferred to one of the attendance centers.   
    • 2009-2010 – During 2009-2010, all 241 students attending Jefferson Elementary School are eligible for Public School Choice.  Eligible attendance centers to which they may transfer include:  Blanchard, Clippard, or Schrader.  Based on completed applications, 44 students participated and transferred to one of the attendance centers.
