BOARD MEETING STUDENT, FACULTY

AND COMMUNITY AWARDS

January 26, 2009

 

The students selected to receive the “Terrific Tiger Award” have been selected based on service to others, leadership and scholarship.

 

The following students are being recognized as recipients of the “Terrific Tiger Award.”

 

ALMA SCHRADER ELEMENTARY - Zachary Sample, Grade 3, Son of Allan Sample and Madelyn Schmucker – (Terrific Tiger for December)

Zachary is a superior student who always gives his best effort to everything he does. He is kind hearted and always has a sweet and gentle smile for all.  He exemplifies the characteristics of a caring, respectful, and responsible student.

 

ALMA SCHRADER ELEMENTARY – Julie Castle, Grade 3, Daughter of Darrell and Christina Watkins

Julie has a wonderful disposition. She is always cheerful and friendly. She is diligent about learning and applying all social skills. She has a beautiful smile which she shares frequently with teachers and classmates. Julie was recognized by three teachers this month as a good citizen due to her constant display of good character.

 

BLANCHARD ELEMENTARY – Tyler Swanks, Grade 4, Son of Donald and Michele Swanks

Tyler is very responsible and dependable. He completes each assignment with beautiful handwriting and exceptional answers. He is always willing to volunteer and displays wonderful manners to every student and adult. Tyler has high standards for himself which is evident to all those around him.

                                                                                                           

CLIPPARD ELEMENTARY - Madison Dush, Grade 4, Daughter of Larry and Crescent Dush (Terrific Tiger for December)

Madison is a hard working, talented, driven fourth grader. She is a great listener and problem solver. Madison exhibits a terrific understanding of what it means to be Peaceful, Accountable, and Well Behaved.

 

CLIPPARD ELEMENTARY – Junior Miranda, Grade 4, Son of Efren and Mayra Miranda

Junior is a very hard worker.  He always tries to do his best even when the work is hard. Junior always has a pleasant attitude and is always respectful of others.  He is always willing to help when needed.

                                                                                                                       

FRANKLIN ELEMENTARY – Dontay Hartfield, Grade 4, Son of Clarence Hartfield and LaTanya Harris

Dontay has made incredible improvements this year.  His grades have improved significantly. Dontay is a bright young man with a pleasant attitude.  We are very proud of all his accomplishments and new attitude.

                                                           

JEFFERSON ELEMENTARY – Rebekah Garner, Grade 4, Son of Billy and April Garner

Rebekah is a true example of what it means to be an excellent learner.  She is very hard working, inquisitive, and well behaved.  Our school is a richer place because of Rebekah.

    

                                                      

CENTRAL MIDDLE SCHOOL – Noah Smentkowski, Grade 6, Son of Brian and Nicole Smentkowski

Noah is a hard-working student and an avid reader.  He gets along well with all of his classmates and is continuously looking to please his teachers. He is a pleasure to have in the classroom.

 


CAPE CENTRAL JUNIOR HIGH – Bobby Coffey, Grade 8, Son of James and Jeannette Coffey

Bobby has made tremendous strides in his academic achievement.  He comes to school every day with a huge grin on his face and a positive attitude.  Bobby works very hard at being successful at school.  He is also well known by the faculty as a student with a great sense of humor.

 

CAPE CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL - Zhongchi (Bob) Zhang. Grade 12, Son of Yumin and Qin Zhang

Zhongchi is a conscientious student with a very dry sense of humor. He is a valued sections leader in the CHS Orchestra and also performs with the Southeast Missouri Symphony.  He will be traveling with the SEMO Symphony to China in May.

 

ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION CENTER -- Kailee Cochran, Grade 11, Granddaughter of Robert and Carolyn Seabaugh

Kaille is an excellent student.  She always does her work and is always respectful to her instructors.  She is extremely conscientious and is aware of other students’ needs and concerns.  Kailee has been a good role model and a welcome addition to our school family.
