Cape Girardeau Public Schools Pre-K Program
Cape Girardeau Public School Early Childhood Center (ECC) serves students ages 3-4, giving young children a good foundation as they begin their school experience. We have small classroom sizes where students with special needs are integrated with typically developing peers.

Thank you for your interest in our Early Childhood Program! We currently enroll both special education students and peers for our classes. Our certified staff teach a certified curriculum that gives a strong foundation for your little one to grow! Our staff is qualified to do developmental screenings of any child that attends to aid in their growth and development. We have a morning class that attends from 8:00a.m-11:00a.m. Monday-Thursday and an afternoon class that attends from 12:00p.m-3:00p.m. Monday-Thursday. During that time they receive free breakfast or free lunch provided by Cape Public Schools. At this time, we only provide transportation via bus for our special education students. For our peers, parents and family will provide transportation. We enroll students all year long as spots open up! We have a balance of staff to students in our classroom so spots are limited! This allows us to create a more individualized learning environment. This is a FREE program offered through Cape Girardeau Public School District. While your child may only attend for a few hours a day, we have lots of students who are partnered with other daycares and programs in our area that they attend after the morning class or before the afternoon class!
As long as you live within the Cape Girardeau Public School District and your child turns 3 by July 31st, your child can register for our program!
