Good morning, CHS families. Due to a power outage at Spectrum’s network operations center, we are experiencing a disruption to phone and internet services. If you need to get in contact with your student to check them out, please call 335-1867 and the message will be relayed to the CHS administration. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

The WiFi issue we had earlier at the high school has been fixed. All of our phones, email and services that utilize WiFi are back up and running.

There will be no school Thursday, February 15th for Family/Teacher Conferences. Students are also out of school on Friday, February 16th for a Staff Professional Development Day and Monday, February 19th for President's Day.


Spectrum has fixed the issues with our WiFi, internet, and phone connections. Thank you for your patience.

Due to a Spectrum fiber outage, many of our schools are currently experiencing disruption of service to phones, internet, email, and Wi-Fi. Spectrum does not have an estimated time of repair at this time. The phone lines in the main offices at schools are working, but please be patient as you call.
If you cannot get through to the main office at your student’s school and need to relay a message, you can call the Central Administrative Office (CAO) at 335-1867.

Calling all 8th grade families! Cape Central High is hosting a meeting for the families of rising 9th-grade students on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. The meeting will be held in Kinder Hall at 6:00 p.m.


There will be no school Monday, January 22, 2024 due to the freezing rain and potential for unsafe road conditions.

There will be no school Wednesday, January 17, 2024 due to the inclement weather and poor road conditions.


REMINDER: There will be no school on Monday, January 15, 2024 for MLK Day and on Tuesday, January 16 for a Professional Development Day. Students are back on Wednesday, January 17.


Don't forget, students are back Tuesday, January 9th!


We want to remind families that students return to class on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. We hope everyone has had a wonderful winter break.


CGPS Schedule Reminder - Wednesday, December 20th is an early dismissal day for students and is our last day before Winter Break. Winter Break is scheduled for December 21 - January 8. Students return to school on Tuesday, January 9.

Reminder: Cape Girardeau Public Schools will be closed November 22nd, 23rd, and 24th for Thanksgiving Break. Students will return on Monday, November 27th.


Our football team plays host to Farmington in the District Championship game on Friday, November 10 at 7:00 p.m. Join us for a Tiger Tailgate at 5:45 p.m. at Cape Central High.


Cape Central swimmer Phineas Theall took home the State Title in the 100 Fly at State! Phin also placed 5th in the 50 Free! Congratulations, Phin!
