Mrs. Jahn from Blanchard Elementary received a mini-grant through Missouri Farm Bureau to implement agriculture in the classroom. One of her class' reading stories is about creating your own garden. It lists the steps of how to create your own garden, even when there isn't much space. This grant money will allow Mrs. Jahn's class to create its own vegetable garden using 5-gallon buckets.

Dear Tiger Family,
Thank you for being so supportive as we work through this unfortunate water main issue with the city. With that being said, we WILL be in session tomorrow and the remainder of the week unless there is an unforeseen circumstance. I wanted to communicate some of the precautionary measures we have in place.
We have plenty of bottled water on hand for consumption, these will be strategically located in our buildings for students and staff. In addition, we have been told by our local health department to use hand sanitizer after washing our hands, it is readily available for usage.
All food preparation will comply with health department guidelines. We are confident we can operate our cafeterias safely and effectively.
Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding. This is what makes our district such a great place for our students. I look forward to a very good rest of the week!
Sincerely,
Neil Glass
Superintendent
