KINDERGARTEN ROUND-UP SPRING 2023: March 28, 29, 30, 31! Kindergarten screenings are for children 5 years of age on or before July 31, 2023. Students in our CGPS Pre-K programs do NOT need to schedule a screening or complete the online enrollment. Calling all CHS Hall of Famers! We will be honoring past Hall of Fame members at halftime of the homecoming game on Friday, January 27th. We will have a reception prior to the game at 6:00 p.m. for members and their families. We hope to see you!


Soccer signups are open! If you have a student in 3rd-8th grade who would like to play soccer with their Cape Tiger classmates, sign them up to play for FREE! Cape Central High AFJROTC cadets supported the Marine Corps League in their annual Toys-4-Tots drive at Schnucks on Wednesday night. They will be there again Thursday night and working at the warehouse all day on Saturday.



Drive through Cape County Park by the Nature Center to see the Cape Central High lights display along with many others that have been created by local artists. Our students worked very hard on this adorable display!
On December 17th, grab a bite to eat from local food trucks and enjoy a walk through the park while enjoying the beautiful lights!




Cub Club had a great time participating in the Parade of Lights! Don't miss your chance to support Cub Club at T-Rav's Give Back Day on Tuesday, December 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Cub Club is our amazing after school program that gives children a place to learn and grow after the final bell rings on the school day. Cub Club is tuition-based and is available to students enrolled in our elementary schools.

School leaders from across the region are learning from Cape Girardeau Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Josh Crowell at today’s Behavioral Risk Assessment Training at the District’s Central Office. This training is one of many that educators go through to help keep schools safe learning environments for our children.

Cape Central High Art Teacher Jon Daniels was named a 2022 McDonald’s Outstanding Educator. He was selected from a pool of more than 650 nominees. Mr. Daniels received a $1,000 Visa Gift card, a “Best Teacher Ever” coffee mug, and McDonald’s coupons to pay it forward. Congratulations, Mr. Daniels! You are so deserving of this recognition!
