About the Program:

Criminal Justice I

2 semesters – 3 periods
Grades Eligible: 11, 12

This course will acquaint the student with historical perspectives of criminal justice and various criminal justice career fields, including, but not limited to, Crime Scene Investigation, Law Enforcement, Corrections, and Court/Juvenile Studies. In addition, the standards that make up the Missouri Peace Officers Standards of Training Program (P.O.S.T.) are integrated within the course. Content may include discussing and viewing some of man's worst crimes. All are significant and vital to our past, present, and future in the investigation and prosecution of such crimes. The goal is to become increasingly aware of the social forces that shape our lives and gain insight into the many different aspects of criminal justice and how it influences society's views and opinions on how we deal with and handle the crimes of man.

Criminal Justice II

2 semesters – 3 periods
Grades Eligible: 12

Monday-Friday

The morning block schedule is from 8:25 a.m. to 10:50 a.m.

The afternoon block schedule is from 12:05 p.m. to 2:45 p.m.
